Ammu Stage Vision

Shri. Jose Chirammal formed a theatre group viz. ROOT. Normally the active members of Kaliarangu were absorbed to Root and Chandran got an opportunity to learn more under Chirammal.  "Root" in association with Anamika  has conducted a 5 months "Nataka Panippura" at Kattoor Village, Trichur. Chandran has attended in the workshop as a fulltime Student, in spite of his college studies. In the workshop, 4 full length plays and numerous one-act plays & Improvisations were produced.

Out of 4 full length plays produced in the workshop, Chandran has acted in three plays viz. Ulpaldutt's "Soorya Vetta" (Directed by: Jose Chirammal) C.J. Thomas' "1128 el Crime 27" (Directed by:  M.R.Balachandran & Murali Menon), N.Krishnapilla's "Anuranjanam" (Directed by: Narippatta Raju) etc.

In the year 1997 he has formed a contemporary theatre group- Rangavedi- with the employees of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. Rangavedi has produced 6 plays and conducted theatre workshops by eminent theatre personalities like Geraldine from South America and Gil Alon from Israel.

In the mean time he has directed plays for H.V.F Malayalee Samajam Avadi, Sangamitra- a renowned Theatre group in Chennai and conducted theatre workshop for Madras Kerala Samajam.

In the year 2009, Ammu Stage Vision was formed with experienced theatre artists available in and around Chennai for promoting theatre activities in a scientific manner.

"Mruthyu Devo Bhava" an adaptation based on Shri.C.N.Srikandan Nair's Natakathrayam was directed by him as an experiment and performed in chennai during the first week of February- 2010 which was acclaimed by all. The leading English News Paper- The Hindu- has given an elaborate review on the play.
